Development and supply of safe and effective vaccine for global public health

Vaccine

Euvichol¢ç

Euvichol¢ç is an oral cholera vaccine developed to prevent cholera outbreaks in low and middle-income countries. Since it does not require a syringe, it has the advantage of avoiding localized adverse effects such as pain, swelling, or rashes at the injection site. With these benefits, Euvichol¢ç is supplied at an affordable price to low-income countries affected by cholera through international organizations such as UNICEF. Developed by a domestic biotech venture, Euvichol became the first vaccine of its kind to receive WHO Prequalification in December 2015.
